It's Been a Long, Long Time
In every life I think I would find you
In every life I think I would find you not always easily maybe in one life you are a soldier with tired eyes at the edge of a ruined city maybe I am the girl selling apples in the square pretending not to notice how softly you look at things maybe in another we are both birds or deer or ghosts or trees growing toward each other over the same old road maybe it takes years for our roots to intertwine but they do maybe I pass you in a train station and spend the rest of my life wondering why a stranger’s face felt some significant but somehow eventually I think my soul would recognize yours not because it is loud but because it is warm because something in me has always known the shape of your coming and when you arrive in every world I imagine myself thinking I don't know who you are but finally It's been a long long time.
Hello friends, I hope you enjoyed your peek into my diary today.
I am starting a new project called The Muse Jar, where I am writing poems for people. I have had so much fun so far, and it has really helped me take time off of school work to write.
For the month of June, I hope to write one Muse Jar poem a day to keep the joy flowing during my classes, and hopefully help pay for them.
If you want a poem, it is free to submit a prompt! Donations and paid subscribers will be prioritized, and once I reach ~50 poems I hope to make my first Muse Jar collection. You can submit a word, wish, random emoji, anything you want. You can also choose to be credited/tagged, or anonymous.
I think I will be able to write all donation prompts, however I do say “maybe” just incase the subject matter is not appropriate to cover my bases 😅.
Submit once, submit fifty different times, whatever you feel! I am just so thankful and happy you are here!
